The Shiba Inu community, affectionately known as the SHIB army, has been buzzing with anticipation since lead developer Shytoshi Kusama teased a special Valentine’s Day surprise earlier this week. The reveal: the enigmatic and much-speculated “Sheboshis” has finally been unveiled, marking a significant milestone in the Shiba Inu ecosystem’s expansion.
Shiba Inu Unveils The Sheboshis
On February 12, Kusama ignited the community’s curiosity with a cryptic message on X, hinting at something new on the horizon: “Single Shiboshi looking for new love… Is there any other Shiboshis out there looking forward to Valentines Day?” This teaser set the stage for a major announcement, culminating in a trailer release from the official “The Shiboshis” account with the message, “Ahhh there you are… She’s on her way. Were you expecting her? #Sheboshis.”

Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, elaborated on the Sheboshis’ introduction, tying it back to its initial mention and the project’s development timeline. “Let’s clarify some facts! #Sheboshis were first publicly mentioned at the Eth Conference in August 2023. However, their first mention within the team dates back to February 2023.
It’s important to note that they have not been launched yet. But according to Lucie, “it’s going to be a unique experience! Let’s embrace new technologies and have fun!!!”
Community member ShibababyShib (@bhobponce) also chimed in, urging the SHIB army to be cautious and vigilant: “SHIBARMY make sure you follow the official X account of #SHEBOSHIS, @sheboshis. Sheboshis are the match NFT of #SHIBOSHIS. Those who appeared from nowhere and introduce this as a token considered them as a SCAM! Be safe, be alert, and be vigilant!”
Despite the excitement surrounding the announcement, the official Sheboshis account on X has not yet garnered significant attention, boasting a modest following of 385 followers since its inception in March 2023.
The Shiboshis
The Shiboshis, a collection of 10,000 NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain, have become a beloved part of the Shiba Inu community, featuring unique traits and commanding attention on platforms such as OpenSea and Rarible. With a current price floor of 0.1651 ETH and a 24-hour trading volume of 7.3186 ETH with 39 sales, Shiboshis continue to make waves in the market.
In the last 24 hours, the price floor of The Shiboshis is up 19.50%. The seven day average sale price is 0.1728 ETH, the highest sale price is 0.60 ETHand the lowest sale price is 0.0091 ETH in the same timeframe. Notably, the project is currently ranked #186 in NFT Price Floor with a floor cap of 1,651 ETH.
The introduction of Sheboshis is expected to further enrich the Shiba Inu ecosystem, offering a fresh and innovative experience for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
