PROS:
- We may be able to adapt fees. If the price of a bitcoin reaches $10M, transactions will be inevitably expensive. Having an empty mempool, a cheap transaction 219vB, will cost $21.9. Small UTXOs will be pointless to be moved. This situation incentives centralisation by using "Bitcoin banks" that instead of effectively moving bitcoin through the network, will move users balances. Those services (like Strike) will provide cheap "transactions" and many users will prefer this.
CONS:
- It requires a hard fork.
