Since going onchain has costs for the user, we don’t want to make that decision for him. In Arklabs’ implementation, we ask the user to inscribe a Nostr public key per VTXO. When the VTXO expires, the Server sends one Ark Note (think of it as ecash minted by the Server) of the same value to the user.
Later, the user will be able to redeem this Ark Note for a fresh VTXO (without losing any funds).
