Have been HODLing sats for sometime, but I have never used lightning. I have an upcoming trip to Switzerland where I hear the lightning eco-system is gathering momentum in terms of retail acceptance. So I am planning to spend a few sats here and there to gain the experience.
Based on some reading, I downloaded and installed Aqua on my Android phone, which I understand supports lightning. But it seems it stores the coins as L-BTC, with a 99.9% conversion rate for peg in and out. I have not really done a market survey, so just want to clarify, is that rate sensible? Out of every 1000 sats I peg in or out, the Boltz will eat up at least 1 sat (and I do not know whether the lightning channels themselves will incur additional costs).
May be that is the market rate, but is there anything more economical (but without unnecessary trust and custody risk) out there, again, for non-expert users?
