Bitcoin’s mysterious creator Satoshi Nakamoto has become the 11th richest person in the world and could soon overtake Warren Buffet and Sergey Brin after the BTC price soared to a new all-time high (ATH) above $122K.
The leading crypto recorded a new ATH of $122,540.92 in the last 24 hours. It is trading at $122,248.87 as of 7:16 a.m. EST after surging more than 3% in the past day.
Satoshi Nakamoto Closes On Warren Buffett And Sergey Brin As Bitcoin Soars
The Bitcoin creator is believed to hold 1.096 million Bitcoin across thousands of wallets. At current prices, his holdings are worth over $134.3 billion.
That would place Nakamoto at number 11 on Forbes’ list of the richest billionaires, ahead of Dell Technologies CEO, Michael Dell, who has a net worth of $125.1 billion.
Google co-founder Sergey Brin is ranked just above where Nakamoto would be, with his wealth estimated to stand at $142.3 billion. Bitcoin-skeptic Warren Buffet is next on the list, ranked 9th with wealth estimated at $142.4 billion, according to Forbes.
Nakamoto Could Become The Second-Wealthiest Person, Says Bloomberg Analyst
Bitcoin’s price would need to reach about $370K for Nakamoto to overtake Elon Musk as the wealthiest person. The Tesla CEO has a net worth of over $404.2 billion.
While the idea of Nakamoto topping the Forbes rich chart might seem a stretch, the Bitcoin creator could still climb the ranks even more, according to Bloomberg ETF (exchange-traded fund) analyst Eric Balchunas.
In a June 2 post on X , Balchunas mulled the possibility of Nakamoto becoming the second-richest person by the end of 2026.
