Is The Altcoin Season Here Yet? Analyst Darkfost Thinks Otherwise
While the altcoins have been on a winning spree lately, with major gains made in ETH and XRP, analyst Darkfost argues that a true altcoin season hasn’t kicked in yet.
He suggests that altcoins are still underperforming relative to Bitcoin.

Using moving average comparisons, Darkfost demonstrates that Bitcoin’s market cap growth has continued to outpace both large-cap and mid-to-small-cap altcoins.
He stated that the last true altcoin season, where altcoins outperformed BTC, was in early 2024.
According to Darkfost, the current altcoin momentum is still weak, meaning capital rotation from Bitcoin to altcoins hasn’t fully materialised yet and that this is just a warm-up phase.

Top Crypto Performers This Week
The crypto market closed this week with its total market capitalisation briefly surpassing the $4 trillion mark, its second time in two weeks.
