A $7M Memecoin Named After Saylor’s Strategy Runs on Tokenized MSTR

What Is STRATEGY, Exactly?

The token’s main pool went live on Sept. 4 on Robinhood Chain, the Ethereum L2 built on Arbitrum. A Sept. 6 post from the project’s account postured the offering as a real-world asset (RWA) play, laying out its pitch as follows:

• STRATEGY is “a memecoin backed by a RWA.”
• MSTR is tokenized on Robinhood, “backed by over $67B in Bitcoin.”
• Bitcoin sits underneath as the foundation.

The “backed” assertion here deserves a closer look, as the memecoin is not a claim on Strategy stock. Long.xyz pairs every launch against a Robinhood Stock Token instead of ether or a stablecoin, so as buyers pile in, “the pool accumulates the stock token.” Anyone buying STRATEGY is effectively paying with tokenized MSTR, which then sits in the pool.

Dexscreener shows about $808,600 in total liquidity, $691,000 in 24-hour volume and a 28% daily gain, with 1,996 buys against 2,246 sells. Supporters put the MSTR side of the pool at more than $362,000 after 10 days.

The Plumbing Behind the Meme

STRATEGY arrived late to a trade that has taken over Robinhood Chain. On Sept. 2, memecoin and Stock Token pairs did $217 million in volume against $127 million in direct Stock Token markets, as Bitcoin.com News reported in its look at the RWA meme coin meta. An earlier Strategy-themed coin, Saylormoon, also paired itself with MSTR.

The chain posted $3 billion in daily decentralized exchange (DEX) volume for the first time that same week, and its launchpad token PONS carried a market cap near $440 million by Sept. 11. Robinhood’s Stock Tokens counted 862,800 holders two months after launch.

Liquidity Creates Demand

On Sept. 13, Strategy’s official account posted: “Liquidity creates demand. Demand creates liquidity.” The post drew nearly 99,000 views, tagging MSTR. The STRATEGY memecoin account quoted it hours later, arguing that demand for MSTR becomes liquidity for the memecoin and the other way around.

One trader counted about 6,000 mentions of the token over seven days against 14,500 for MSTR, setting a $6 million market cap next to MSTR’s $51 billion. Another influencer told followers not to wait “unless you wanna buy the dip at 500m mc,” a figure roughly 70 times the current valuation.

Strategy reported 845,050 BTC and $6.5 billion in U.S. dollar assets as of Sept. 7. At a bitcoin price near $77,600, that stack is worth about $65.5 billion, a little under the $67 billion in the token’s pitch. Anything built on MSTR, memecoins included, still rides on bitcoin’s price.

The Copycats Showed up on Schedule

Within nine days of launch, the name had been cloned. A separate STRATEGY token on Solana, created Sept. 13, showed a $5.26 million market cap and a 24-hour gain of 12,595%. Another token using the same ticker on Robinhood Chain, at a different contract address, fell 82% and was valued at $6,369.

The original memecoin trades with a contract address ending with “eb21e18.”
