As the excitement for the Shib Name service (SNS) heightens, Shiba Inu lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama reveals a new expression standard for the SHIB ecosystem.
Lead Dev Proposes New Standard For SHIB World
In an X (formerly Twitter) post released on Monday, March 4, Kusama proposed the development of a unique standard of expression and identification within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Envisioning a decentralized world, where people could express themselves in a new and inventive way, Kusama drew parallels to the lasting impact of the dot-com legacy, a period during the late 1990s to 2000, where investors made large-scale investments into internet-based businesses in the hopes of making profits.
The Shib co-founder has extended his vision beyond conventional norms, urging Shiba Inu community members to consider a fresh approach to self-expression within the ecosystem while also taking the dot-com era as a standard of transformation for the SHIB space.
“Remember .com? Yeah, because decades later, it is still the standard. So, imagine if there was a new way to express yourself in the new Shib world?” Kusama said.
Shiba Inu Co-Founder Spotlights SHIB Name Service
Kusama’s statements about a dot-com standard were made in reference to the recent unveiling of the SHIB name service. The SHIB team previously announced that the 1.1 version of the SNS will be released on Tuesday, March 5, with a temporary suspension of all transfers for existing name tokens preceding the launch.
The SHIB name service is an innovative approach to identification that the SHIB ecosystem will be implementing for its users. This feature would enable SHIB users to have a personalized name, serving as their “SHIBdentity” and offering users a unique way to express themselves within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Kusama has made emphasis on creating a better world and choosing decentralization above all else. He invited the SHIB community to contribute towards shaping the transformation of the SHIB world and standing behind the principles of decentralization.
Also highlighting SHIB’s immense growth potential and recent success in the market, Kusama disclosed that SHIB has become one of the top-performing cryptocurrencies in the space. The lead developer has revealed that the cryptocurrency has more in volume than major altcoins like XRP, Solana and Binance Coin (BNB) combined, and by a margin exceeding a billion dollars.
This impressive performance underscores SHIB’s demand and potential in the ever-evolving crypto space, positioning it at the forefront of cryptocurrencies currently trailing Bitcoin’s recent bullish trajectory.
